The rumours over the weekend were indeed true, as Xbox has surprise-launched the free-to-play Halo Infinite multiplayer. Halo: Reach Evolved is a sandbox overhaul of Halo: Reach that brings in certain aspects from the original trilogy of Halo games, re-balances the Legendary Campaign difficulty, edits some of the Campaign encounters, introduces brand new content, and alters the weapons and vehicles to give each tool of destruction their own distinct niche.

It’s unknown how much space the full game will take up recent leaks and rumors have said it’ll take 97 GB, which falls in line with the installation size for Halo: The Master Chief Collection (104 GB) and Halo 5: Guardians (95 GB). This was quickly thought to have changed thanks to delays, but as of right now, it looks like it’s back on and we’ll be playing Halo Infinite’s multiplayer modes as soon as tomorrow.
